Get to know the animals that wake up when you go to sleep. Join Shaver’s Creek naturalist, Eva Hirsch, and Long-Term Ecological Reflections Project writer, Rebecca Hirsch, for a free exploration of the nocturnal world geared toward kids. The session will start with a reading of Rebecca's picture book, Night Creatures: Animals That Swoop, Crawl, and Creep while You Sleep. Participants will learn how owls and other nocturnal animals use sound to navigate the night. Then we’ll take a night walk on one of the trails. Bring a pair of sturdy shoes, weather-appropriate clothing and your curiosity about the world of the night! All ages, families, and individuals are welcome.
