Did you know that Wood Frogs and Spring Peepers are able to freeze in the winter and then thaw once it gets warmer in the spring? Their bodies produce an anti-freeze substance that prevents their cells from being damaged during their frozen state! Learn more about these amphibians and how frogs can help us understand the health of their environment.
This Science Saturday program will consist of an informational presentation with an indoor activity and nature walk to visit frog breeding ponds.
